Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic old time example of this rare species from Rhode Island!!! This specimen is comprised almost entirely of crystalline
danalite!!! The danalite
has deep red color and, although it is largely opaque, there are numerous tiny areas that show marked clarity!!! Danalite is
almost always found as amorphous grains or masses, with crystalline material being quite rare!!! This specimen hosts sharp, significant
crystal faces on nearly every side!!! This is a fantastic example of danalite - and from Rhode Island no less!!! Rare, old time material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
