Description/Interesting Notes: A classic, old time example of cuprite from Cornwall!!! This specimen is loaded with sharp, octahedral crystals of dark red cuprite in association with some native copper!!! The cuprite crystals have sharp, octahedral form with marked luster!!! The crystals have varying shades of dark red color and there are a few tiny areas where the crystals appear to have partial alteration to native copper!!! There is some minor native copper visible throughout the matrix as well!!! Classic old time material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
