Description/Interesting Notes:
An absolutely magnificent example of thomsenolite, ralstonite, and cryolite from Greenland!!! Let me start off by saying that this specimen is
way, WAY better than the pics show!!! This is a KILLER example of these rare species!!! This specimen consists of what was
once a large portion of cryolite that has since altered to thomsenolite and ralstonite crystals!!! The outer surface of the
specimen is coated with iron-oxides and sharp, significant crystals of cryolite and thomsenolite!!! There are large, lustrous,
square shaped crystal faces scattered across the outer surface!!! There are some very significant crystals of cryolite and thomsenolite
present!!! The remainder of the specimen consists of a criss-crossing latticework of cryolite that hosts numerous crystal-lined
vugs of thomsenolite and ralstonite (with some possible pachnolite as well)!!! There are numerous substantial vugs that host
significantly sized crystals of thomsenolite and octahedral crystals of ralstonite!!! This specimen is almost entirely crystalline
all around!!! All three species are present with significant CRYSTALS of each species!!! Simply a killer, old time Greenland combo!!!
WAAAYYY better than the pics show (it was very difficult to capture all of the fine, colorless crystals)!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection
