Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely magnificent example of crocoite and vauquelinite from the type locality for both species!!! This incredible, old time Russian beauty consists of a dense cluster of sharp, intensely colored crystals of bright red-orange crocoite in aesthetic association with green vauquelinite crystals!!! The crocoite crystals are razor-sharp, highly lustrous, translucent to gemmy, and have EXCEPTIONAL color!!! The crystals have highly complex terminations - some are sharp and severe, while others have complex etching!!! Overall, this specimen is in magnificent condition!!! The vauquelinite crystals are appreciably sized for the species and quite rich as well!!! The vauquelinite crystals are sharp, lustrous, and range in color from lively lime green to deep green!!! This specimen is one of the best old time crocoite specimens I have seen in quite some time!!! This specimen has terrific provenance and retains several old labels (including an Arkenstone label from the 90's and was priced close to a thousand dollars back then)!!!
