Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic, old time example of covellite from this classic Colorado locale!!! This specimen consists of numerous large, intersecting blades of highly iridescent covellite!!! The covellite crystals are thick and showy with intense blue to purplish blue iridescent metallic luster!!! In person one can see areas of sharp crystalline detail in areas as well!!! This specimen is from the Michigan College of Mines (A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum) and retains its original, antique, glass-lined specimen box from the museum in addition to an old Ward's label as well!!! Classic old time material!!!
