Description/Interesting Notes: An amazing, old time example of corundum from Sweden!!! This specimen consists of a magnetite rich matrix that hosts several complex crystals of yellowish translucent corundum!!! The corundum crystals exhibit a rare pseudo-octahedral habit!!! The larges crystal consists of a complete and undamaged pseudo-octahedral crystal with marked luster and translucence that measures over 8mm!!! There are numerous other crystals present throughout the specimen as well and, upon close examination there are some curious unidentified species present as well!!! This specimen retains an old antique Schortmann's label as well!!! Simply a magnificent and unique example of corundum!!! the pics hardly do it justice!!!
