Native Copper & Native Silver

Bingham District, Oquirrh Mts, Salt Lake Co., Utah

4.16cm x 2.84cm x .92cm

Ex. A. J. Beres Collection No. A-788

Description/Interesting Notes:

A rare, old time example of native copper and native silver from Utah!!! This specimen consists of a highly complex group of somewhat subhedral crystals of a combination of native copper and native silver!!! This specimen is essentially a rare, crystalline native copper-silver half breed!!! Examples of such material from Utah are exceedingly rare!!! On the reverse of the specimen one can clearly see the intergrown native copper and silver (and it is much more evident and defined in person)!!! There are some bluish unidentified crystals in minor association as well!!! The pics hardly do this rare old timer justice!!! This specimen is from the collection of A.J. Beres!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY MARCH 17th!!!
