Description/Interesting Notes: A most unusual example of native copper from Arizona!!! This peculiar copper "burr" or "mace" is comprised completely of native copper!!! These curious specimens are clearly the result of some kind of refinery phenomenon - however just how or why they occured seems to be poorly understood at best!!! This specimen is from the Seaman Mineral Museum and retains a museum label and container!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! - (If I am able to turn up any additional information on this specimen I will be sure to add the info to the auction!)
