Native Copper pseudomorph after Aragonite Corocoro, Pacajes Province, La Paz Department, Bolivia 3.35cm x 2.75cm x 2.4cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic, old time example of native copper after aragonite from Bolivia!!! This specimen is a rare matrix example of this famed pseudomorph!!! Most of these prized pseudomorphs are seen as single crystals with no associated matrix, however this specimen consists of a matrix of partially alterd aragonite that hosts a group of native copper pseudomorphs after aragonite!!! The native copper is handsomely accented by green malachite as well!!! Upon close inspection one can still see aragonite crystals in the matrix that have not yet been altered to native copper - and there is one instance where one can see a tiny edge of one such crystal that is begining to alter to copper and malachite!!! This specimen retains an old affixed label as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
