Native Copper with Hodgkinsonite on Willemite Franklin, Franklin Mining District, Sussex Co., New Jersey 5.5cm x 4.7cm x 2.45cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of native copper with rare hodgkinsonite from Franklin!!! This specimen consists of a matrix of yellow willemite that hosts a rich showing of native copper in association with pink hodgkinsonite!!! The native copper is actually very well crystallized and undamaged!!! Rarely do you see such finely crystallized examples of native copper from Franlin!!! All of the native copper specimens appear to have formed encapsulated in pink hodgkinsonite!!! Upon close inspection there are several tiny cavities where one can find well-crystallized hodgkinsonite as well!!! This specimen is simply amazing in person and under close study!!! Of course the willemite fluoresces a brilliant yellow-green too!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
