Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely INCREDIBLE example of native copper from Franklin!!! This specimen is absolutely loaded with native copper throughout!!! This specimen hosts two significant copper crystals measuring up to 1.65cm, as well as numerous tiny crystals scattered around the specimen!!! There are rich and numerous copper inclusions visible on every side of the specimen!!! All of the related species appear to have native copper inclusions, however the andradite crystals host very rich inclusions of native copper that flash brightly from within the translucent to near gemmy andradite!!! The franklinite appears to host a particularly rich network of native copper as well!!! This specimen is very heavy, weighing a hefty 436 grams - no doubt a testament to its rich copper content!!! This specimen fluoresces brilliantly, with a rich showing of bright green willemite, blue hardystonite, and orange clinohedrite!!! This magnificent old timer retains old labels from Ward's, the Sunshine Acres School (a very "unique" fully accredited private school - circa 1939, it was part of the nation's first Nudist colony), and the Wintringham Collection!!! The pictures simply do not capture just what a handsome specimen this is - nor does it show just how rich the copper inclusions are!!! This is a KILLER Franklin combo!!!
