Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of this rare species from Butte!!! This specimen is comprised mostly of colusite with quartz and pyrite in association!!! Although it was difficult to capture in the pictures, this specimen hosts a significant amount of crystalline colusite!!! There are numerous complex, compound crystals of colusite to several millimeters in size scattered about the specimen and the many tiny cavities and vugs host razor-sharp, text-book worthy colusite crystals to 2 millimeters!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope there is a LOT of very interesing detail to be seen on this rare Butte old timer!!! This specimen retains an old label from the collection of Dr. P.A. Foster as well as an additional unattributed label!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
