Cobaltite

Cobalt, Coleman Township, Timiskaming District, Ontario, Canada

3 specimens!

from .54cm to .44cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

PLEASE NOTE: This is a special "Holiday Listing" and will be ending on TUESDAY, DECEMBER 28th

An absolutely magnificent group of cobaltite crystals from this classic locality!!! This is a group of three individual cobaltite crystals!!! All three crystals are complete floaters with no point of attachment!!! Two of the crystals are cubic in habit and one exhibits a stunning 20-sided habit (that measures .53cm x.53cm x .48cm)!!! One of the cubic crystals has what appears to be a bronze-colored epitaxial coating of another spieces!!! These crystals are simply incredible for the locality and are more akin to something you'd see from Sweden!!! This grouping was acquired in an old collection and retains an old David New label as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
