Description/Interesting Notes: A superb example of clinochlore from Vermont!!! This specimen hosts a magnificent showing of razor-sharp, pristine crystals of gemmy, deep green crystals of clinochlore prominently perched on matrix!!! The clinochlore crystals have rich, intense deep green color that is WAY better than the pics show!!! The rich green color is quite handsome and showy in person!!! The crystals have gemmy clarity and some of them have window-like clarity!!! The clinochlore crystals are thick and sturdy with glassy luster and razor-sharp faces!!! The matrix is comprised of intergrown diopside crystals and, upon close inspection with a loupe or scope one can see small light green grains of vesuvianite as well!!! This is a KILLER example of the species for the locality!!! Simply gorgeous in person!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
