Quartz var. Citrine with Calcite

Potosí Mine, Santa Eulalia District, Mun. de Aquiles Serdán, Chihuahua, Mexico

6.95cm x 5.3cm x 3.3cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A very rare example of NATURAL citrine from Mexico!!! Naturally occuring citrine is very rare and specimens are seldom encountered on the market!!! This specimen consists of numerous reverse-scepter quartz var. citrine crystals in association with highly lustrous and unusually complex calcite crystals!!! The citrine crystals are not simply "stained" quartz crystals - they are colored a lovely gemmy yellow from within!!! The crystals are sharp, gemmy, and in fantastic condition!!! There are small pink crystals on the matrix that appear to be calcite crystals with pink inclusions!!! The pics don't even come close to doing this lively and aesthetic specimen justice!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY APRIL 8th!!!
