Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of cinnabar from Nevada!!! This specimen hosts a striking, pristine crystal of bright ruby red cinnabar prominently perched on matrix!!! The cinnabar crystal exhibits characteristic "drill bit" twinning and has sharp, lustrous faces!!! There are also several other smaller crystals of cinnabar in association, as well as numerous tiny quartz points as well!!! The cinnabar crystal has marked clarity and glows a lively ruby red even in minimal lighting conditions!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! This specimen retains a label from the Seaman Mineral Museum with notation that it came from the collection of Dean Martalock as well!!!
