Cinnabar Sunflower District, Mazatzal Mts, Gila Co., Arizona 7cm x 4.5cm x 2.3cm

Description/Interesting Notes: An old, rare locality example of cinnabar from Arizona!!! This specimen consists of a rich portion of cinnabar in association with quartz!!! This specimen is surprisingly heavy - certainly an indicator of its richness!!! The cinnabar is bright red and showy with a few tiny crystal faces to be seen upon close inspection!!! The cinnabar can be seen on all sides of the specimen!!! Although there is no longer any present on its surface, there seem to be some indications that this specimen might yield some native mercury globules if trimmed!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
