Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent, old time example of gem chrysoprase from Australia!!! Let me start by saying that, as with some green minerals, the digital camera just couldn't accurately capture its green color so I took pictures using my regular lighting and some full-spectrum fluorescent lighting - please know that this specimen has a much more lively green color than most of the pictures show (the green color looks somewhat different under sunlight and incandescent light as well)!!! I would describe its color in person similar to what green grapes look like, or a nice green prehnite specimen!!! In any case, color aside - this is an incredible, curiously formed mass of gem chrysoprase!!! The chrysoprase has clarity that ranges from milky-translucent to gemmy-translucent!!! The unique form, high translucence, and attractive color make this specimen simply incredible in person!!! Old material!!! This specimen is from the collection of A.J. Beres!!!
