Chlorargyrite

Commonwealth Mine, Pearce, Pearce District, Pearce Hills, Sulphur Springs Valley, Cochise Co., Arizona

6.1cm x 5.9cm x 3.8cm

Ex. Lewis A. Smith

Ex. Scott Turner Collection (1880-1972)

Ex. A. E. Seaman Mineral Museum No. ST-323

Description/Interesting Notes:

A fantastic, old time classic example of chlorargyrite from Arizona!!! This specimen hosts a significant showing of chlorargyrite attractively scrolled across the matrix!!! The chlorargyrite crystals have the characteristic "hornsilver" appearance, however upon close inspection they are actually quite well crystallized!!! This specimen retains an old label from the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum with Scott Turner (b.1880), and Lewis Smith Collection notation!!! The pics don't even come close to doing it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY APRIL 21st!!!
