Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent Butte classic indeed!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of large sharp blades of covellite that have been completely replaced by chalcocite on a matrix of pseudomorphic chalcocite, covellite, and pyrite!!! The blades are sharply defined and aesthetically arranged in rosette-like clusters!!! This specimen is a killer in person - the pics don't even come close to doing it justice!!! This specimen is from the collection of well-known Butte collector and scholar Bob Jenkins and retains his original collection label (this specimen sat in his main display case!)!!!
