3 specimens (2.95cm & 2.38cm

Ex. Ralph MacKay (8/31/71)

Description/Interesting Notes:

A rare example of platinum-bearing ore from Wyoming!!! This is a group of three individual specimens of chalcocite & platinum group metal ore!!! The main specimen measures 4.12cm x 3.58cm x 2.38cm while the two smaller specimens measure 2.95cm and 2.38cm!!! The two smaller specimens have been lightly polished on one side!!! The old label states "Platinum group metals occur as microscopic inclusions within massive greenish-black brittle Chalcocite. Representative ore from original mining operations in the Rambler Mine. Of interest primarily as a platinum bearing ore from the Rambler Mine."!!! Very unusual material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JANUARY 13th!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
