Chalcedony var. Agate pseudomorph after Aragonite Mun. de Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico 7.84cm x 7.1cm x 4.2cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of agate after aragonite from Mexico!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of slightly divergent crystals of aragonite that have been completely replaced by gemmy agate!!! The aragonites' original elongated hexagonal prismatic habit is still quite clearly and sharply preserved!!! The material has a wonderful gemmy translucence that, combined with the sharp habit, makes for a striking display indeed!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
