Caledonite, Linarite, and Bindheimite on altered Galena Roughton Gill, Caldbeck Fells, North and Western Region (Cumberland), Cumbria, England 6.04cm x 4.5cm x 1.83cm Ex. J. Cilen Collection No. 4256

Description/Interesting Notes: A colorful old time combo specimen from Roughton Gill!!! This specimen consists of what was a grouping of galena crystals that has been almost completely altered to a combination of colorful rare species!!! The specimen hosts large areas of bright yellow bindheimite, intense royal blue linarite, and lively turquoise blue caledonite!!! The caledonite is present also as tiny crystals perched in box-work like vugs (former galena crystals)!!! The concentric square-shaped patterns throughout the specimen are quite striking as well!!! This specimen is simply incredible when under close examination!!! Those who enjoy looking at specimens under a scope or with a loupe will also find some other "surprise" species in association as well!!! The pics hardly do this specimen justice!!!
