Calcite

Charcas, Mun. de Charcas, San Luis Potosi, Mexico

9.5cm x 8.6cm x 7cm

Ex. Kohnowich Collection

Description/Interesting Notes:

A gorgeous, old time calcite of exceptional quality from Mexico!!! This specimen consists of an aesthetic group of sharp, pristine, pseudo-hexagonal tabular calcite crystals that measure up to 7cm!!! The crystals have razor-sharp faces, glassy luster and translucent to gemmy clarity!!! The large tabular crystals exhibit a band of gemminess in their centers!!! The pics really don't capture just how fine and aesthetic this 1950's era Mexican calcite is!!! This is a killer old-time showpiece!!! Specimen is in magnificent condition all around and displays gorgeously in person!!! Way, WAY better than the pics show!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JULY 26th!!!
