Calcite

Bigrigg, West Cumberland Iron Field, North and Western Region (Cumberland), Cumbria, England

3.5cm x 2.5cm x 1.65cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A classic, old time example of gem calcite from this famed locality!!! This specimen consists of a sharp crystal of gem-clear calcite with a second smaller crystal in association!!! The crystals have sharp, cathedral-style terminations with razor-sharp faces, brilliant glassy luster, and water-clear gem clarity!!! The crystals are very bright and lively in person - with dramatic play of light within!!! The specimen is quite old and shows some minor wear but, as you can see, it displays gorgeously!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JANUARY 14th!!!
