Calaverite on Rhodochrosite and Quartz Gold King Mine (American Tunnel), Gladstone, Eureka District, San Juan Co., Colorado 2.7cm x 1.94cm x 1.8cm

Description/Interesting Notes: An amazing combination specimen from this famed Colorado locale!!! This specimen hosts several well formed crystals of silvery metallic calaverite crystals on a matrix covered with pale pink, saddle-shaped rhodochrosite crystals and sharp quartz points!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope it appears that there may be some tiny petzite crystals in association as well!!! The calaverite crystals are well formed and sharp!!! Not only is it a fantastic example of the species for the locality, it is an incredible association as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
