Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic pair of "before and after pseudomorphism" specimens from this classic locale!!! This is a pair of specimens from Magnet Cove - a fine single brookite crystal and a fine rutile pseudomorph after a similarly sized single brookite crystal!!! Both specimens are very fine examples of each - the brookite is a killer specimen in and of itself and the rutile pseudomorph (technically a "paramorph" since both species have the same chemistry) is a replacement of a very similar crystal both in terms of size and form!!! The rutile pseudomorph is difficult to appreciate in the pictures because it is loaded with highly complex crystal faces - in person its form is quite sharp and it glitters like a disco ball!!! Simply a magnificent pair of specimens from this classic locality!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
