This specimen hosts a cluster of complex bornite crystals in association with chalcopyrite on Quartz!!! The bornite crystals almost appear to have puffed up and around the chalcopyrite crystals!!! The crystals are very well formed for the species and this is quite an impressive old time Butte example indeed!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! This specimen is from the collection of well-known Butte collector and scholar Bob Jenkins and retains his original label!!!
