Bornite with Quartz Leonard Mine, Butte, Butte District, Silver Bow Co., Montana 8.85cm x 6.4cm x 6cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent example of bornite from Butte!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of quartz crystals that hosts a large, prominent cluster of complex bornite crystals!!! The bornite has well defined crystalline features and, upon close inspection there are a few small chalcocite pseudomorphs as well!!! There is also a small amount of pyrite in association as well!!! This specimen is in magnificent condition and displays fantastically in person!!! This specimen retains an old label from Forest Cureton as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
