Boleite with Pseudoboleite, Cumengeite, & Paratacamite Amelia Mine, Santa Rosalía (El Boleo), Boleo District, Mun. de Mulegé, Baja California Sur, Mexico 1.1cm x 1.03cm x 1.02cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent example of this rare and sought after species from the type locality!!! This specimen consists of a huge single crystal of boleite that hosts an incredible showing of epitaxial pseudoboleite and cumengeite with some minor green paratacamite in association!!! The boleite cube faces host an attractive, significant network of highly complex, stepped growths of epitaxial pseudoboleite!!! In addition to the pseudoboleite, several of tbe cube faces host multiple sharp, angular spires of epitaxial cumengeite that puncture through the pseudoboleite!!! Both the pseudoboleite and cumengeite host numerous tiny crystals of green paratacamite (some of which may actually be pseudomorphous) as well!!! The overall combination makes for a stunning specimen indeed!!! This is a huge crystal for the species - that measures over 1cm in every direction (and well over 1.5cm diagonally)!!! The crystal is complete all around and exhibits characteristic intense royal blue color!!! Simply incredible in person!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
