Boleite on Anglesite

Amelia Mine, Santa Rosalía (El Boleó), Boleó District, Mun. de Mulegé, Baja California Sur, Mexico

.42" x .37" x .35"

1.06cm x .95cm x .89cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A rare and aesthetic combination of anglesite and boleite from the type locality!!! This specimen consists of a complex anglesite crystal with a single striking boleite crystal in association!!! The anglesite crystal is a complete floater with no point of attachment!!! It is white in color, but has a slightly bluish hue in person, which is the result of numerous microcrystalline boleite crystals included within (quite fascinating when viewed with magnification)!!! The boleite crystal is sharp and lustrous, with cubo-octahedral modifications, and the characteristic, intense royal blue color!!! A striking combination indeed!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 18th!!!
