Description/Interesting Notes: A large, old time example of boleite from Mexico!!! This specimen consists of a large, highly complex crystal of boleite!!! Although it might appear damaged, this crystal is actually a highly complex crystal that consists of an intergrown, compound crystal of modified cubo-octahedral crystals with unusually etched features!!! The resulting appearance is almost that of a rosette in person!!! The specimen has gorgeous, deep blue color with intense flashes of royal blue color in areas of marked clarity!!! Rarely does one see boleite crystals of such size!!! This is OLD material that long predates the finds made by Ed Swaboda and Bill Larson in the 1970's!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
