Betafite with Zircon

Silver Crater Mine (Basin Property), Faraday Township, Bancroft District, Hastings Co., Ontario, Canada

2.4cm x 2.3cm x 1.65cm

Ex. Ernie & Vera Schlichter Collection No. 9.1-049

Description/Interesting Notes:

A terrific example of betafite with zircon from this classic locality!!! This specimen consists of a complex cluster of betafite crystals in association with a few small zircon crystals!!! The betafite exhibit characteristic form for the locality and the zircon crystals are present as lustrous, somewhat elongated reddish brown crystals!!! This specimen is not complete on the reverse but displays quite handsomely as you can see!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
