Beryl (Heliodor)

Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut

6.7cm x 5.3cm x 3cm

Ex. Michigan College of Mines No. 7549,
A. E. Seaman Mineral Museum #DM-14360

Description/Interesting Notes:

A classic example of yellow beryl (heliodor) from Connecticut!!! This specimem hosts a lively yellow crystal of yellow beryl in matrix!!! The crystal has marked luster and areas of gemmy clarity!!! The crystal has sharp hexagonal prismatic form and is naturally embedded in the matrix!!! This specimen dates to the late 19th century!!! This specimen retains several old labels from the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum and Michigan College of Mines!!! Classic material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
