Description/Interesting Notes: A rare, old time example of bementite from Franklin!!! This specimen is comprised almost completely of rare bementite with just a small amount of calcite in association!!! The bementite exhibits the characteristic foliated masses and is quite well formed!!! The complex, meandering, foliated masses give the specimen a very attractive pattern and appearance in person!!! This is old material from the first find of the species and dates back well over 100 years!!! Ex. James Zigras!!! Rare material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
