Azurite & Malachite

Apex Mine, Jarvis Peak, Tutsagubet District, Beaver Dam Mts, Washington Co., Utah

9.1cm x 4.9cm x 2.65cm

Ex. Kohnowich Collection

Description/Interesting Notes:

A classic, old time example of azurite and malachite from Utah!!! This specimen hosts a showy display of bright blue azurite and deep green malachite, presented in alternating stripes!!! Upon close examination, one can see that the bright blue azurite is present as tiny but brilliantly lustrous and intensely colored crystals!!! The malachite is present as botryoidal forms, in combination with secondary growths of crystalline malachite, that exhibit multiple hues of green in handsome fashion!!! This specimen is very showy and displays gorgeously in person!!! Rich, intense color!!! Classic old time material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY MARCH 15th!!!
