Azurite with Malachite New Cornelia Mine, Ajo, Little Ajo Mts, Ajo District, Pima Co., Arizona 2.88cm x 1.85cm x 1.68cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of azurite from this classic Arizona locale!!! This specimen consists of a group of blocky, complex crystals of intense royal blue azurite in association with lively green malachite!!! The azurite crystals are sharp, lustrous, and have particularly fine blue color (it is quite lively in person!)!!! The crystals are complet and undamaged all around!!! There is a small amount of dark green malachite partially intergrown with some of the azurite as well as a somewhat brighter green "ball" of radiating fibrous malachite crystals as well!!! Simply a magnificent old time Ajo azurite!!! Classic material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
