Fluorite with Aurichalcite

Ojuela Mine, Mapimí, Mun. de Mapimí, Durango, Mexico

4.5cm x 3.1cm x 1.8cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A colorful combination of purple fluorite and turquoise aurichalcite from Ojuela!!! This specimen hosts an aesthetic pairing of lively purple fluorite crystals atop intensely colored aurichalcite crystals!!! The fluorite crystals have glassy luster, gemmy clarity, and exhibit a complex habit with selective color zoning on certain faces!!! The association is quite striking in person!!! This specimen was actually in Mandy's fluorite collection (associations suite) and was taken out of the cabinet in anticipation for the Tucson show!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JANUARY 21st!!!
