Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare example of atokite in association with several other platinum, palladium, silver, and gold bearing species from
this famed Russian locality!!! This specimen consists of a combination
of rare metallic species - atokite, stannopalladinite, tetraferroplatinum, polarite,
sperrylite, and silver var. küstelite (a variety of
native silver that has between 10-30% gold in association)!!! Upon close inspection in person - one can see that there are numerous
well defined zones of varying metallic hue, color, and texture!!! This specimen actually retains
an old Cilen collection catalogue number on its acrylic box along with a handwritten label - this specimen
was acquired from noted analyst and dealer Tony Nikischer!!! The pics hardly do it justice - must
be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
