Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare, old time example of apophyllite from Franklin!!! This specimen hosts a showy group of intergrown "rosettes" of
apophyllite crystals on a characteristic matrix that appears to contain some dark green pyroxene and some massive magnetite!!!
The apophyllite crystals are in fantastic condition with sharply defined crystals, glassy luster, and marked clarity!!!
This is a very fine example of the species for this locality!!! This is old time material - from an
old time Franklin locale!!! These old Balls Hill specimens are quite scarce and rarely seen!!! This specimen came from
a suite of rare, old Franklin specimens that we acquired as part of Belsky collection!!! Ex. Howard Belsky!!!
