Andersonite

near Moab, Grand Co., Utah

7.6cm x 4.1cm x 3.2cm

Ex. Alexander P. Klinshaw Collection

Ex. Ken Hogan Collection

Description/Interesting Notes:

A rare example of Andersonite from Utah!!! This specimen hosts numerous rich, bright yellow veins of andersonite in matrix!!! The andersonite is much more intensely colored and apparent than the pictures show!!! The broad face of this specimen hosts several large areas of andersonite and their are rich veins throughout the entire specimen!!! Every side of the specimen exhibits a significant amount of andersonite!!! The andersonite is much more intensely colored in person - especially in daylight (which makes it slightly fluorescent just from the sunlight)!!! With UV lighting the specimen fluoresces wildly - even with the regular lights still on!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! This specimen retains old labels from the Hogan and Klinshaw collections!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
