Analcime

Wasson Bluff, Parrsboro, Bay of Fundy, Cumberland Co., Nova Scotia, Canada

16.9cm x 7cm x 3.5cm

Ex. Harvard University Mineralogical Museum

Ex. Dr. Fred D'Esopo Collection No. 835

Description/Interesting Notes:

An extraordinary example of analcime from Canada!!! This specimen consists of a broad plate covered with exceptional, GEM crystals of analcime!!! The analacime crystals are razor-sharp, brilliantly lustrous, and have remarkable gemmy clarity!!! This specimen is complete and undamaged!!! The crystals are so sharp and gemmy that they were very difficult to capture in the photos!!! The crystals range in size to over 1.5cm!!! This is a KILLER example of analcime for the locality!!! This specimen retains an old label from the Harvard Mineralogical Museum, as well as its original label from the D'Esopo collection!!! The pics don't even come close to doing it justice!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JUNE 24th!!!
