Description/Interesting Notes: An ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR old time example of amethyst from this famed locale!!! Let me start off by saying that this specimen is in a league all its own!!! These pics don't even come close to capturing just how great it is!!! This specimen is from OLD workings at the locale and was recently acquired in an old collection that has sat dormant since the early 80's!!! It has a markedly different "look" than the more contemporary specimens from the locale!!! the crystals are much broader and somewhat complex in a most appealing way!!! This specimen is ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS - I mean not a SPECK of damage!!! Each point is RAZOR sharp!!! Every crystal is COMPLETE!!! The crystals have ultra glassy luster and the color is a wonderful, lively purple (way better than most of the pics show - it is a much more "grapey" color in person)!!! This specimen retains an antique dealer label that shows its price at $275 (1982 pricing!) - this specimen would easily reach into the four digits today!!! Again, I cannot say it enough - these pics don't even come close!!! Truly an exceptional amethyst in every possible regard!!! SUPERB!!!
