Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of almandine garnet from the Ruggles Mine!!! This specimen hosts a large single crystal of almandine in association with several other smaller crystals!!! The almandine crystal has sharp, lustrous faces and dark reddish brown color!!! The broad side of the specimen is covered with sharply defined crystal faces as well!!! This is a magnificent example of the species for the locality!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
