Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of this rare earth species from Norway!!! This specimen consists of a huge crystal section of aeschynite with a small amount of associated matrix!!! This specimen is almost entirely comprised of solid aeschynite and is quite heavy for its size!!! The specimen hosts two broad crystal faces that exhibit complex groups of stepped faces!!! The aeshynite is quite dark in color but reddish brown highlights can be seen in tiny areas!!! This specimen is from the collection of Joe Cilen and retains its original label as well!!!
