Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of acanthite from this seldom referenced Japanese locality!!! This specimen hosts a significant showing of complexly crystalline acanthite in association with grayish chlorargyrite on a matrix of tiny colorless fluorite crystals!!! The acanthite crystals have silvery gray metallic luster and some highly complex forms!!! Upon close inspection one can see that there are layers of grayish chlorargyrite in intimate association with the acanthite and matrix!!! The matrix is comprised of a significant amount of networks of tiny, colorless fluorite crystals!!! Simply a fantastic example of acanthite from this seldom referenced locality!!!
