Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of acanthite from this classic Mexican locale!!! This specimen consists of a fine cluster of sharp, lustrous cubic crystals of acanthite with several intergrown blades of polybasite!!! The acanthite show sharp cubic form with some complex modifications and features!!! The acanthite crystals have bright metallic luster and are WAY better than the pics show!!! The cluster is much more detailed and aesthetic in person!!! The crystals are undamaged and the specimen is complete all around!!! The bladed crystals of polybasite show sharp striations upon close inspection and there are some small quartz crystals and a lone calcite crystal present as well!!! Classic material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer and retains an original collection label as well!!!
