Acanthite Imiter Mine, Ouarzazate Province, Souss-Massa-Draa Region, Morocco 4.76cm x 3.5cm x 2.67cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of acanthite from Morocco!!! The majority of the specimens seen from this locality have often been heavily prepped and etched to remove any associated matrix - however I was lucky enough to acquire a specimen directly from the mine that still has a natural look with associated species and matrix!!! The acanthite crystals exhibit complex and slightly elongated octahedral forms that are quite handsome in person!!! This specimen is much more crystalline and showy than it appears in the pics!!! The crystals are prominently exposed and range in size to over 1.3cm!!! This specimen is in fantastic condition and displays magnificently in person!!! This specimen is comprised almost entirely of acanthite and is quite hefty - not only is this a handsome acanthite, it is quite rich in silver as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
