Acanthite on Stephanite Freiberg District, Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany 1.34cm x .8cm x .57cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic, old time example of acanthite and stephanite from this historic German locality!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of complexly modified cubic crystals of acanthite pominently perched atop a spire of complex stephanite crystals!!! The acanthite crystals are actually very sharply crystallized cubic crystals with faces that exhibit remarkably complex crystlaline features!!! This is not etching or weathering and, upon close inspection with a loupe or scope, is actually sharp, brilliant, and highly ordered!!! The stephanite crystals are sharp, lustrous, and undamaged!!! This is a striking old timer that is WAY better than the pics show!!! This specimen retains an old unattributed label as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
