Acanthite pseudomorph after Pyrargyrite with Calcite Valenciana Mine, Guanajuato, Mun. de Guanajuato, Guanajuato, Mexico 5cm x 4.3cm x 3.25cm

Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely magnificent example of silver bearing pseudomorphs from this classic locale!!! Let me start by saying that this specimen is way, WAY better than the pics show!!! This is one of the best examples of this pseudomorph combo that I have seen from this locale!!! This specimen consists of a showy group of sharply defined, hoppered crystals of pyrargyrite that have been completely replaced by acanthite!!! The individual crystals measure to well over 3.5cm!!! The crystals are sharp all around and in magnificent condition!!! The specimen displays gorgeously all around!!! To top it off, there are numerous razor-sharp, glassy, amber colored scalenohedrons of calcite scattered about in aesthetic association as well!!!
